Pegwell Bay Nursery is located within Baypoint Sports Club, a sports, fitness and leisure complex on Ramsgate Road, (next to Pegwell Country Park) Sandwich, Kent, CT13 9QL. Pegwell Bay Nursery has specific, dedicated, safe and secure spaces for children of a variety of ages to explore and develop in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
Pegwell Bay Nursery aims to make your child’s education fun through learning and discovering. Pegwell Bay Nursery prepares them for life, helping to make the children happy, confident individuals. Using our fully qualified, experienced staff and fantastic indoor and outside learning spaces.
The Key Person system enables the child to gain confidence with a (constant) person and build a relationship with them. We also encourage staff and children to mix throughout the sessions to enable them to practice their social skills and gain social independence.
The principles we use at Pegwell Bay Nursery include effective education through staff awareness that children develop uniquely and individually through the Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage, physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
Children are taught through the broad and balanced Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage, which along with the Pegwell Bay Nursery inclusion and SEND policies ensure that all children are treated equally and all given equal opportunities to fully access Kids at BayPoint along with their peers.
Children will be made to feel included, secure, and valued. Pegwell Bay Nursery will work in partnership with all parents/carers to gain a full understanding of each and every child. Children will be highly valued at Pegwell Bay Nursery where qualified staff will develop the child’s strengths and encourage these alongside all areas of the Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage preparing them for entry into Primary School.
Children's development and daily diaries are created to be readily available to parents through their tablets, phones or computers. We use the online system www.mybabydays.com which is a wonderful way to see and read all about your child's day with us. Not only do we record what activities they have done but what they've eaten, their sleep, nappies and also you get to see pictures of what they've been doing and the observations that have been made by their key person.
